A Relaxed, Casual Gathering Place - With Exquisite
Food
Located
in historic Dundee, in a turn-of-the-century
home overlooking Dundee's main street,
Marks' unique environment combines casual
dining with a neighborhood feel. With a main dining
room framed by over 50' of window and containing a large,
full, master-crafted wood bar, patrons often see their friends
either in the room or on the street below.
Nestled behind the home is a wonderful
sunken, tree-shaded garden, furnished with bistro
tables and chairs for over 45 people. Proprietors,
Mark Pluhacek and Molly Romero
are often present to greet their friends and share conversation,
wine or a bite to eat. Tucked upstairs are several private
dining rooms for book clubs, business meetings, family
gatherings, or other small group gatherings.
Mark personally chooses all the wines and
cheeses, and oversees the menu, working closely with Executive Chef
Zac Clemetson.
The menu changes often to reflect season and
availability of fresh ingredients. All menu items are made on site, using the highest
quality, fresh ingredients. To explore the world of wine
and experience exquisite culinary creations,
Marks holds monthly wine dinners, with specially
selected wines carefully paired with a
multiple-course dinner reflecting Chef Zac's finest
work.
"Our goal," says Mark, "is to provide
a comfortable environment for friends and neighbors
to gather, linger and enjoy great food and wonderful
wine."
